Intestinal Worms:

A veterinarian may want to check your pet for parasites because many dogs and cats may become victims of several internal parasites frequently referred to as worms. The most common are the roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. Of these four are two commonly seen in the stool with an unaided eye: roundworms and tapeworms. Also, another internal parasite that the veterinarian may want to check your pet for is the heartworm. This is a worm that lives in the heart and will not be seen.
